I recently moved. In the midst of packing but also going to see some friends from a 6ft distance, I quickly reverted to my trusted pieces of winter clothing: a wool camel coat and comfortable knee-high boots.
Admittedly, when I got this coat from eBay, the color and style were what won me over first. I am a sucker for camel colors, especially in coats. The size was larger than anticipated. The color was more of a yellow toned camel than brown camel. But surprisingly, I actually has worn this wool peacoat all winter.

Coat: J.Crew Camel Wool Peacoat (similar here | here)
Shoes: Stewart Weizmann Tieland in ‘Slate’ (on sale here)
I don’t have to think what layers can fit underneath thanks to the oversizing. The wool material keeps me quite warm yet does not look too bulky. What I also loves about a coat like this is the length and style. It is the perfect in between formal-long and casual-short! The color goes with everything.
The Tieland is my number one favorite style of boots from Stuart Weitzman.
Despite looking like they could be a lot of work to wear, these boots are actually so easy to get on. They elevate a casual outfit and are comfortable. I will write a review on these soon.
You can see the theme in my recipe for a quick, chic, and casual outfit: staple pieces + easy wear.
I added a snake round coin necklace for a bling and fun touch. My necklace is from APM, one of my most favorite jewelry brands for unique, whimsical, and high quality costume jewelry!
