When I first came to the States, I always got excited for Black Friday, the other BF 🙂 . Over the years, I gradually turned into an online shopper. I have found that the promotions online and in-store are very similar. Occasionally, the online ones are even better! I love being all cozied up in my super soft PJs, wrapped in blankets with the heater on instead of being outside in the cold and fighting traffic and crowds. If something doesn’t work out, most stores accept returns unless they are stated as final sales. I also take advantage of Cyber Monday. I would wait until Monday to shop if I don’t find an absolute ‘must’ to purchase on Black Friday. I make a list by adding the items I want to my cart before hand. Below are the places I will be checking out, written in order of sales end date.
If no code is listed, it means I check my emails the night before and go straight to the website on Black Friday for deals.
Here are some details on the makeup that I wore in this post.
The makeup was quick, easy, and suited for the fall season! While I also own higher-end makeup, below are some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes and products that you can easily purchase from a drugstore nearby. These products are all under $10 and perform just as beautifully.
Do you have those days when you wake up late and just want to grab something quickly and still look presentable? This happens to me quite often especially in cold weather. To combat this, I often shop for dresses that are clean cut, do not require ironing, easy to throw on, and already have a style to them.
Fall has been a bit slow in DC. I am not complaining. In fact, I love the Indian summers we have gotten throughout this fall so far. I woke up to low 70s weather on Sunday and it felt amazing!
As you may be already able to tell, white is my all time favorite color.
Top: H&M (old) (similar here— love this shade of blue with the collar detail!)
Bottom: H&M jeans
(I have multiple colors of this pair of jeans! So comfy and affordable at $19.99 and H&M often has online promotions)
I was thinking about what my introductory blog post should be. As I scrolled through my photos, this photo suddenly resurfaced. It was 7am as I was leaving the hotel to go see the Acropolis in Athens, one of the wonders of the Ancient World. I was very excited!
Just like the way I felt that early morning, I feel the same excitement to start journaling about all my favorite things, including (of course) shoes!
