Summer Fun | Red textured shift skirt & Chanel cut out hoop earrings

I have been into tweeds for the past couple years — my dream is to own a couple of Chanel tweed jackets one day! I admit it is a bit hard to find the right tweed items for me. I often find them looking slightly mature on me at times.

Though this past year I started seeing so many retailers coming out with cute fun tweed clothing! I picked up this red skirt during the Loft sale that I posted about here. I honestly thought it was a tweed skirt! (I must have drank too much bubble tea that day). The texture looks like tweed from a far but the material is stretchy.

The original ‘uh oh’ turned into a pleasant surprise though. It is so lightweight and airy, which is perfect for summer!

I love the semi vintage vibe of the faux pockets and buttons. Loft still has it on sale here for $20 after extra 50% off (code LOVE)! I am also loving  this one from J.Crew for $35 after code.

Needless to say, I love the red shade of this skirt. It’s brightly rich fun!

I paired this outfit with Chanel large hoop earrings I recently got. These combined with the red skirt were giving me some Chanel vintage vibe, albeit a more casual version.

Last but not least, a pair of cat eye sunglasses.

These are really affordable from Forever 21 and quite sturdy! A similar pair is here. I also saw another pair from Asos for $7!
