A quick post on what I wore while visiting Chicago for a quick weekend getaway. Light weight, easy care, and comfort are typically what I go for for these types of trips.
I have 3 colors of the same shirt because it is just so comfortable and versatile. H&M here (very similar here) have these very affordable T-shirts year round in seasonal colors beside the classic. I particularly love this light lilac-toned blue — I wish I had gotten a back up!

As I was feeling more fall clothes, I packed this A-line black and white checked skirt (similar here, here, here). It has a little thicker fabric but is still a transitioning piece with its length. The gold whimsical details are so me :).
These minimal flats (similar here, here, here) are among the many Target shoes I hauled throughout this summer. I actually did not look much into their shoes range until recently. My feet size got a bit larger due to bunions and I needed cute comfy sandals for the long commute to work on public transportation. For affordable trendy shoes, I find Target meets the needs with a huge range of selection. It is also a big plus that I find many of their shoes comfortable.
This is my first ever pair of large round gold hoops! I could see why they are so popular — they instantly jazz up any outfit. I got these 14k gold-plated ones off of Etsy (similar here, here). I love the structured clean vibe of these square thick hoops and they definitely work better for me than the typical thin ones.
Without a doubt, Chicago is an amazing city. I am sure everyone has mentioned this but I would highly recommend an architecture boat tour at least once. The stories behind each building were fascinating and creatively satisfying.
