I know it’s fall already. But I refuse to accept that summer is over 🙂 and that I have not posted about all the cute stuff I accumulated over the summer. I pulled out my floral dress on Sunday. I wanted to wear it one more time before the dropping temperature would make it completely inappropriate to wear it *le sigh*.
Blazer: H&M (similar here)
Dress: Aliexpress (similar here | here | here)
Belt: Banana Republic (cute black options here | here | here | navy here)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies 100 in ‘Gris’ (100 here, 88 here)
I did a little pairing with a blazer to have some warmth. The blazer and the length of this dress was able to keep me comfortable, granted I was mostly walking to and from the car.
I love this dress. Though I do not shop on AliExpress too often, I would randomly see a gem like this from time to time . The material is silky smooth to the touch, flows nicely, and its colors are vibrant. I am bummed that this dress is sold out (but expectedly so). I found some dresses to be just as cute and probably more seasonally appropriate (mine is strappy). Cheaper options are here, here, and here.
Besides my year round favorite color white, I find navy to be particularly appealing during the winter. It is not the usual blacks or greys often seen in colder seasons, yet it is still in the darker color family. I bought this short-medium length navy blazer (similar here) from H&M a long time ago but I still find it very versatile for both office wear and casual wear during the transition through the fall season.
Since I was going to a more formal setting, I offset the flowy dress with a more structured blazer and a gold buckle navy belt. I saw this at Banana Republic a couple seasons ago and loved the clean look of it so much I bought it in all the available colors (navy and brown). I prefer gold hardware most of the time but a silver hardware belt would be great as well. Asos has this super cute black belt (with a gold bee!) here, a very affordable option with both hardware colors here, here (love this shape), and pricier navy version here.
Can we talk about this pair of shoes? It’s sexy with just enough toe cleavage, and the shape is gorgeous. My shoes are the 100mm version, but Pigalle Follies does come in a much more comfortable height at 88mm (here).
The Pigalle Follies 100 (here) is a cross between the ever popular Pigalle and the So Kate. I can’t wear So Kate because they are too high for me, but always love the skinny stiletto that So Kate has. Pigalle is a classic that I own a couple of pairs. When Pigalle Follies came out, I set out to have a pair of them. I am happy to be able to get them in this color in patent leather because my regular Pigalles are in nude and black.
Louboutins shoes are expensive but I find his shoes’ silhouette to be absolutely gorgeous and sexy. My soft spot for accessories (shoes in particular) is already lusting after the soft pink color available this season (here). Of course, there are affordable options. Ann Taylor has great quality for shoes, and this grey suede heels here have a similar shape. I also find these cute mint green/ lavender ones here.
Bye sun xx.
